“「あれは夢だったのではないか」ふと記憶を思い返した時、そんな風に思うことがある。
美しければ美しいほどに、大切ならば大切なほどにそう思う。
その度に写真は記憶の事実を提示してくれる。不確かで曖昧だが強くそこに在る。
写真を見返してみれば、美しくも醜い、その瞬間の等身大の心が残っている。
もうここにはない輝かしさや狂おしさ、刹那的な時間。
そのどれもが言葉を用いるには惜しいほど、尊いものだ。
風景も、音も、匂いも、人も、心も、わたしだけの光だった。　”

『 somnolence of us 』

“ I occasionally think to myself “That would have been a dream” when I reminisce on my memory.
The more beautiful it is, the more meaningful it is, the more I think so.
Each time I think back on my recollection, photographs tell me the fact of the memory.
It is uncertain and unclear, but it is there undoubtedly.
When I look back at my photographs,
I am left with life-sized heart of that moment, ugly and beautiful.
The brilliance, the madness, and the momentary time.
All of them are no longer here, and too precious to use words.
The sights, sounds, smells, people and hearts in the photographs were my very own light. ”
